Stop Throwing Away Your Bathroom Heaters
Let’s be honest: most bathroom infrared heaters are basically disposable. One of the heating elements burns out after a few years, and because the tubes are glued or welded into the frame, the whole thing is trash. You end up tossing a perfectly good mirror and chassis into a landfill just because one little part quit on you. We thought that was crazy. So, we changed how we build them. The secret is making things modular. When you’re fitting a heater into a mirror, you’re fighting for every millimeter of space. We use shortwave infrared tubes because they give you that instant, cozy warmth without having to heat up all the air in the room. But here’s the part that actually matters: we stopped hard-wiring those tubes to the circuit board. Instead, we use spring-loaded, plug-and-play connectors. Why? Because bathrooms are brutal. Between the steam and the constant heating and cooling, parts eventually wear out. When a tube finally dies after five years, you don’t have to rip the mirror off the wall. You just pop the faceplate, unplug the dead tube, and slide in a new one. Simple as that. Dealing with the heat (and the rattle) Now, making things “swappable” usually means things start to feel loose. Nobody wants a heater that rattles every time it turns on. To fix that, we use high-temperature silicone gaskets. They act like a snug cushion—holding the tubes firmly in place, but giving them enough room to “breathe” and expand as they get hot. One quick heads-up, though: keep an eye on your mirror housing seals. If water leaks into those modular sockets, the contacts will rust, and you’ll be replacing parts way sooner than you should. Real-world repairs Changing a heating element should be a ten-minute job, not a weekend project. Since we separated the heating module from the mirror itself, you don’t need a toolkit full of specialized gear. A standard screwdriver is all it takes to get inside. It’s a lot less stressful. You don’t have to worry about accidentally cracking the glass while you’re poking around in there. You just swap the part, click it back in, and you’re warm again.
