We swapped those out for high-temp gaskets that don’t shrink or snap. It’s a small detail, but it’s the difference between a heater that lasts a season and one that lasts years. The one catch I’ll be honest with you: making something truly waterproof takes a bit more material. Because of the reinforced casing, these units are a little bulkier and heavier than a heater you’d put in a bedroom. Just make sure your wall brackets are sturdy enough to handle the extra weight.
