We built this commercial radiant heater around a 400V, 2500W halogen tube, 300mm long. Why that combo? Because it packs a ton of heat into a small space. Perfect for those tight spots on packaging lines and plastic processing gear. The 400V rating means it plugs straight into standard industrial power. Less current draw on the line, but still all the wattage you need to get hot—fast. And the 300mm length? That gives you a clean, predictable heat pattern, focused right where you need it. It’s small enough to drop into existing machines without a total redesign.
Built to Take a Beating
The tube itself is heavy-duty quartz, then coated to handle thermal shock and keep output steady. Inside, the halogen gas keeps the filament stable, so it lasts longer and doesn’t fade over time. For hooking up, we went with an R7s bi-pin connector. It’s solid. Low-resistance. Handles vibration and the constant on-off cycling of a factory floor. Wire it in once, and it stays reliable—no fiddling, no loose connections.
Where It Shines
This setup was made for serious industrial work—the kind that needs intense, focused infrared heat. Plastic welding. Adhesive curing. Component drying. The watt density is high, so the response is quick. That also means your cooling and clearance need to be set up right to manage the ambient heat. But in practice? You get a heater that fits into existing R7s fixtures, shrugs off harsh conditions, and keeps cycle times short without overloading your electrical setup.
